How is Eurasia Rail Express Delay Insurance different from a standard cargo policy?

Traditional cargo insurance covers physical damage or loss (the 'Box'). Eurasia's Parametric Delay Insurance covers financial losses caused by time (the 'Clock'). We bridge the gap for consequential losses like factory downtime or missed sales, which are typically excluded from standard policies.

What is Parametric Insurance and why is it faster for rail and sea freight?

Parametric insurance uses objective data triggers (like GPS or AIS satellite tracking) rather than subjective claims assessment. Once the delay threshold—such as 10 days for sea or 24 hours for air—is verified by our independent data oracles, a payout is triggered automatically without the need for a claims adjuster.

Do I need to prove a financial loss to receive a payout from ESCM?

No. Unlike traditional claims, you do not need to provide invoices for lost sales or proof of business interruption. The payout is triggered by the event of the delay itself, providing immediate liquidity that you can use however you need to mitigate the disruption.

What are the specific delay triggers for Asia-Europe transit?

We offer precision triggers tailored to your mode of transport. For Air Cargo, thresholds include 6, 12, or 24-hour delays. For Maritime Freight via the Middle Corridor, triggers are set at 6, 8, or 10-day delays. Coverage begins the moment cargo departs the origin port.

What is Maritime Parametric Cargo Delay Compensation?

It is a data-driven financial guarantee triggered by transit time. If AIS satellite data confirms a vessel is delayed beyond a 10-day threshold, a payout is triggered automatically without the need to prove physical damage.

Does the delay insurance cover the Middle Corridor rail route?

Currently, Parametric Delay Compensation is available for Maritime and Air freight. Rail shipments between China and Europe are not yet covered by this specific automated payout model.

They do take care!

Business with ESCM have been always easy and smooth. Sensitive musicals instruments have been delivered and handled with care. Our cellos were damaged previously multiple times when carried by air freight.

Been only reliable so far

We’ve only had good experiences with ESCM so far. We sometimes ship valuable artwork, so careful handling is a big concern for us. It’s been a relief to have everything arrive safely and as expected. Communication is easy too, and overall they’ve been very straightforward to deal with.
